1Chronicles28:18NIV"and the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense. He also gave him the plan for the Chariot that is, the Cherubim of gold that spread their wings and overshadow the ark of the covenant of the LORD."
ReplyDeleteThanks, very helpful scripture, and love that account.
ReplyDeleteEdgar, have you come across any studies on the Ophanim of Ezekiel 1:15-21?
ReplyDeleteI remember doing a deep dive into post-exilic Angelology many years ago but found it hard to dig for reliable sources.
Thanks
I'm away from my computer for the day, but I might have something for you this afternoon
DeleteTerence, there is a Wiki article about the ophanim plus try these:

http://www.scielo.org.za/pdf/ote/v30n2/07.pdf

Two other sources I found were Michael Heiser's dissertation: I think he mentions ophanim twice and a work by Friedhelm Hartenstein, Cherubim and Seraphim in the Light of the Bible.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks. Much to get through!
