Might be wrong era for what you are noting, but also Ignatius to Smyrna chapter 2.

The reference from Ignatius is appropriate since hes one of the pre--Nicenes and I was trying to pull things from that era. I like reading Novatian. Thanks.
ReplyDeletepre-nicea is probably the best source tbh.. it tells us what people believed before the controversey, something very important for finding the truth - rather than the philosophical rubbish found in Nicea
