It's been a long long time since I've seen this issue brought up in the minstry, I think it only happened once. I get the feeling the whole King James exclusivism thing is largely an American Fundamentalist issue, I haven't seen the Comma Johanneum brought up as an issue outside of those circles.

I don't hear it as much in the southern US, but that could be because of COVID-19. However, people in my area tend to be KJV Only (or primarily). It once got so bad that publishers in our congregation started taking the KJV with them to the door.

On the other hand, I now find it counterproductive to tell people that their Bible contains spurious verses: it tends to shut down conversations quickly :)
