On what basis do some criticize the "bosom position" part of the rendering of John 1:18 found in the NWT?
Speaking for myself, I would like to see the WTS replace "only-begotten" with "unique," or place "unique" in the text and footnote "only-begotten" as a possible alternative (or vice versa), but I don't see an issue with the "bosom position" part.

I wonder how much of the early disparaging of Christianity was both grounded in anti-semitism and class ideology. It seems that for Celsus that was quite a bit of it, for Lucian certainly class ideology was a part of it.
