Greetings all,
I've thought long and hard about whether I should keep blogging or not. Responsibilities in other areas of life have increased and I've now been blogging for almost twenty years. But as much as I love research, writing, and interacting with others about theology, the Bible, and biblical languages, I've made the decision to stop blogging after December 31, 2024.
For the near future, the contents of the blog will remain visible and there are some projects I want to finish here before stopping. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive and supplied links and research: thank you also for interacting with my thoughts or those of other authors.
Since I'm ceasing blog activity, I see no need to block Nincsnevem, but neither will Nincs have carte blanche to posting here either. Yet, the main reason that I will no longer blog is because other duties are calling me, duties that seem more important. Take care and I look forward to posting further thoughts later. All the best, Edgar.

I'll read you again when you'll reopen your blog in Paradise
"And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; that you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; and that you may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise." -
Phil 1:9-11.
Thanks for entertaining my inane and unlettered questions, and providing more answers to my prayers than you'd ever realise. This site has been a goldmine of information.
May your Father and mine continue to bless your ministry and stewardship in the congregation.
Jehovah be with you.
Dages: O how we yearn for the new heavens and new earth. Hang in there.
Terence, it's a privilege to help the friends in any way possible, even in small ways. Thanks for your questions/comments here my brother. May Jehovah continue to bless your efforts.
gonna sound odd is there an email I can get to keep in touch? Id like to be able to update you on things I learn
If not oh well - Hope YHWH blesses you in all you do :)
Will you still read and answer comments?
(this is meant to be helpful not "puff myself up" etc)
Another idea is maybe one of your last blog posts should be a list of resources where we can go and find information if we get stuck.
There is always my college email, which is public information. I can be reached there.
Edgar,
Thank you for an educational and enjoyable blog.
I wondered if this blog was part of your occupation as a professor or if it was just of your own doing. Anyway thank you,
Philip
Anonymous: my plan is to cut off commenting at year's end. It's probably going to be difficult, but I'm going to cut off blog life completely.
Philip, I appreciate the kind words and have enoyed your participation here. This blog originated when I started grad school with an ecclesiastical history concentration: it gave me a chance to think oout loud and encourage others. The university is not affiliated with the blog. Best regards, my friend and brother.
Noooooo
That's sad, I've enjoyed reading and engaging with your blog immensely. That's a bummer, but also, completely understandable. I do hope that some output from you still comes, you certainly have much to contribute in terms of theology and biblical research.
Either way, you haven't heard the last of me, I will be sure to keep in touch :).
Much love brother.
Thanks, brother. Much love and please keep in touch. I plan to complete some lingering projects and make use of the extra time in other ways.
