I have pondered another reason to the ubiquitous usage of EL in proper names and its origins based on its pictographic form. A culture of cattle herding. Normally the ox head is defined as power and the staff as authority but they sit squarely within a context that saw herds as a sign of power and prestige.

Is there any reference to Deuteronomy 10:17? I have not found it yet.
Deut. 10:17 does not appear in the indices, but the verse is probably not vital for the book's main thesis--the main idea that he's trying to develop.

I think that Job testifies to the cattle culture.
