Ezekiel's temple vision is one of the most fascinating accounts in the Bible to me--it raises numerous questions and there is so much to learn from the vision. I've often tried to envision just what the prophet saw although our Pure Worship publication supplied some help.
NET: "There were entrances from the side chambers toward the open area, one entrance toward the north, and another entrance toward the south; the width of the open area was 8¾ feet[a] all around."

The NA Commentary on Ezekiel (Lamar E. Cooper, Sr.) makes these remarks: "The base extended away from the building for five cubits on every side (v. 11). Behind the temple was another building seventy by ninety cubits with a wall five cubits thick (v. 12). The exact function of this building is unknown (see Figs. 2 and 3),42 although it has been associated with the parbar (“court”) of 1 Chr 26:18, which probably was an open area. This open area may have been in front of the building, or it may refer to the open area of the large room inside the building, whose purpose is unclear."

The third and final Temple was built by Jesus as a spiritual house composed of living stones (people):
[1Pe 2:5 NLT] (5) And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What's more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.
The book of Revelation is about the judgment and destruction of earthly Jerusalem, the Temple made with human hands, the Sinai covenant, the sacrificial system and the Jewish theocracy, and the arrival of the New Jerusalem aka the living Temple aka the New Covenant People aka the Bride/Body of Christ aka the Israel of God, etc.
God is through with earthly temples which were a shadow of the heavenly Temple.

I agree that Jesus' "living stones" constitute a spiritual house and that the New Jerusalem is a living temple, which John calls "the Lamb's wife."
What do you not agree with?
I was trying to focus on potential common ground and I think you know the New Jerusalem has yet to descend in my estimation. The people of God qua holy temple are already established but NJ has yet to spread lasting benefits all over the earth. And while God doesn't use handmade temples anymore, I believe he can still employ buildings with people praising him, to bring honor to his name.
I know you're not free to deviate from your creeds/"inspired teachers" and traditions, so I won't waste my time trying to convince you.

Quite frankly, you misrepresent the actual state of affairs. Nobody is forcing me to believe what I do and none of my teachers are inspired or claim to be. Why should I trust in my own understanding? You know what the bible says about that.

1) I don't see what this subject has to do with Ezekiel's temple vision
2) A dozen failures? That would be 12. Which 12 years do you have in mind?
3) If something needs to be corrected, I have faith that Jehovah God will correct it, one way or the other.
4) Do you know how many organizations and individuals within Christian history set dates and got them wrong?
